It could be news related for example government shutdown, foreign affairs, national/international issues, etc. Or it could be about a thought-provoking question or other trending topics. I realize we can simply post topics like this but having a weekly topic will create more of a on-going discussion. If possible we could just pin it to the top of the Off Topic General.
