~auto chat filtering~

It's always good to remember that you have an auto chat option at the bottom of your OSbuddy/runescape client, but is it that simple? The short answer is: NO

Everyone is human, and no one will be able to accomplish all that they wish at once, for example, filtering out the right things to find that he/she needs.

• When you are sitting there with your integrated auto chat set to advertise you are selling X amounts of Y product, there will always be a potential buyer who chooses (whether on purpose or by accident) to filter out his or her autochat, therefore not seeing your advertisement/text AT ALL. This leaves you in the dark until you find that one person who is specifically looking for your item and not just 'potential buyers.'
• This auto chat function may work quite well selling items that are traded frequently such as the Dragon Scimitar, however finding that molten glass for your Desert Treasure quest may be a bitch and 3/4ths.
• The same works if you are looking to buy something, but either forget to turn on the 'show autochat' feature, or are looking for the wrong "KEYWORD,"

~the benefits of good 'ol manual typing/text~

If you want something done right, do it yourself.

• Manually typing in the information you wish others to see will exponentially increase your chances of being 'seen' or 'heard'
• People, even those who have 'show auto chat' option set to off will still see everything and anything you are saying as long as they have 'show public' on, which chances are, THEY DO.
• I do not condone the use of external auto typers or other automatic programs that give a player an advantage, however, if you were wondering why you can still see certain people's auto chat even when your 'show auto chat' function is set to off is most likely because they are using their own 3rd party program that mimicks an actual human typing, therefore does not count as auto typing.
• ^^you can tell if someone is using this method of auto typing if their entries are staggered, choppy, and have inconsistent delays in between messages.

~Zybez Deadman Grand Exchange~

• For those of you wondering if there is something that emulates a trading post or Grand Exchange in deadman, there is: Zybez.
• This website is where people go to buy and sell items (you may also find people selling extremely large quantities here)
• When you look up a certain item, it will show the quantity and for how much they are selling.
  REGISTERED SELLERS have a gold star next to their name, but that only means they have a real confirmed account through the Runescape forums, but could still be a scam or suicide trap.
• NEVER TRADE SOMEONE IN FALADOR OR ANY OTHER MULTI-COMBAT SAFEZONE. Even with Runescape's updates with harsher safezone deaths, there are still suiciders that don't mind losing stats if the price is right.
• The Zybez Exchange is also a good place to find rare or uncommonly traded goods (possibly for quests or other unusual activities/skills.

~While in a trade with another Player~

Don't be that one guy who simply puts up cash and doesn't say which item he wants.

• Some players may not quite be aware of this, even to this day, that YOU CAN SPEAK TO THE PERSON YOU ARE IN A TRADE WITH. <<<how you accomplish this is to simple enter into a trade and type in whatever it is you would like to tell him. As long as you have your chat toggle set to Trade (simple click the trade toggle next to clan at the bottom of the Runescape interface) you can see what both of you are saying to eachother while filtering everything else out.
•  
• If you are buying or selling an item and another person approaches and trades you, there's nothing more annoying than having to spam trade you only to find out that you have the wrong chat filters and can't even see if or when someone trades you. Please always remember to enable viewing of trades when in this mode. This is especially common when people have their chat set to only view their Clan Chat.

One other reminder: when making trades, there are places in which these should take place out of common courtesy. Don't set up trades in places such as Seers/Catherby bank or Falador, simply because these aren't particularly safe places. Varrock square is a very common and acceptable place for organized trades to be held with minimal interruption/disruption.

thanks every1! working on some more simple but very useful things/tips, ofc. don't want to make it too barney style where just telling ppl sht they should already know. There's just a few fundamentals that I see are making people's deadman lives a living hell :'( which could be solved so easily. 

Give a man a fish and feed him for a day, teach a man to fish and he'll be fed for a lifetime... and also get lots of women ^.^
