Headphone/Mic Problems

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

I am using the standard Apple headphones that come with the iPhone to use as my mic but I am having issues and am hoping someone can help. I have a laptop I use to play that has both a mic plug in, and a headphone plugin. However, when I try to use teamspeak and talk, the mic picks up my laptop fan, keyboard strokes, and mouse clicks. I am trying to find a way to fix this but have been unsuccessful, so if any of you know how to fix this, please leave a comment below.

Thanks :)

It usually the boost that activates with such mics. Right click on the sound icone at the bottom right of your screen, go to recording devices, double click your microphone then under the levels tab, put the boost to zero. Should be just fine :)

Not much you can do about that i'm afraid, lowering the boost and sensitivity can only do so much...

Using push to talk gets rid of the keyboard noise as you're probably not using it at that moment

i suggest u ask a mic/headset for christmas tho :)
