Before you sell your GWD items !!!! Must read

Recommended Posts

think about it , gwd items are all sinking ? why ......

it is all down to because of the KC update in which you keep your KC due to lagg and Disconnections ,

jagex have stated that this will not last forever , therefore once this goes away nobody can really camp gwd bosses like they're currently .... do you see what im getting at ?

once all the world dc's are gone so will all of your hard earnt KC therefore automatically increasing the prices of all boss items found in the GWD's

hence why i thought it was a clever idea to snipe a SGS for just under 50m for 49m whilst it was at its panic selling point of 52m .....

give it a week or two and the disconnections will be all done and dusted and prices will rise !

you may have the argument people dont go to GWD's because of dc's who cares about the KC !!

that's totally wrong which person in their right mind wouldn't go to GWD just because of DC's ? when they have 3minutes to get there and another 1 minute to loot until finally other people can see it on the 4:01 minutes so theres some food for thought

Buy arma helms , bandos boots , these can be so easily merched , and also what if corporal beast comes out , zammy spear will be one of the most favoured items once again !!!!

You do show a decent explanation, however this is so multifactorial.

1st prices are dictated by merchers, if they continue to merch the prices, it'll go down. Ie all those people lowering everything.

2nd there is no innate money sink if the kc system were to be removed. Even though you can retrieve your items, if you are not soloing, usually your teammates retrieve them.

3rd items are continually being added throughout the 70+ worlds although not all of them are taken, it still shows people continuing to gwd. the sheer number of people bossing are introducing new items with no money sink. and even if people do lose 1 item out of 9000 or so, it is unnoticed.

Finally i would say like all merching, its a game of time, patience, and belief. If people all share that mindset it could or could not affect each others price manipulations.

Supply/Demand

As items are added to the game the prices will go down, and at some point it will stabilize after all the hype is over. Then Jagex will add something else that's overpowered and prices will crash.

^ Since 2003 this is what I've witnessed.
