Can anyone explain the new pj timer in DMM?

Thanks for your help guys!

P.S. It seems a really shitty thing which totally ruins it if you are a low combat getting attacked by a high combat

Edit: After reading some more I totally agree with

Escapes now are: getting gap, escaping to a monster pj then log/tp, killing them, freezing then stepping under to log/tp or eacaping to a safezone. Prbly more.

Running into multi also is an escape sometimes

Espc if ur gonna die anyway who cares if u get lured to multi lol
